Olympics Hockey – Pakistan Vs RSA Review

After completely horrible performance in the first biggest match of the tournament where Team GB totally devastated, already weaker, defence of Team Pakistan and successfully handled, relatively stronger, mid field to end the game with a 4 goals to one. Today team Pakistan got into another nerve testing and a classic hockey match that could put any one on the edge of the seat. A match where total 9 goals scored and there were total 30 attacks on the goal posts from the both sides. However, in the end Waseem Ahmed, and Captain Sohail Abbas snatched the victory from South African team in last ten minutes of the match.

That was indeed the best match of this whole tournament so far and resulted in the favour green shirts but this victory shall not over shadow the shortcomings that we have seen again in this match.

Olympics Hockey – Pakistan Vs Argentine Review

Sohail Abbas After Scoring Goal

After drawing the match against Spain and some attentions of Pakistani viewers green shirts managed time win their second match in Olympics against Argentine by two goals. This has definitely given hope and some happiness to the deprived nation and Pakistani hockey fans though the ranked 9 team Argentine was slightly weaker as compared to green shirts. With all this praise green shirts have collected the have huge responsibility to meet during the matches against Australia and Great Britain. Team Pakistan played quite an attacking hockey yesterday and the strategy of mid field filled with more players work by giving backup support to the forward strikers. Though team missed many chances in second half where the factor of ‘lazy legs’ was seen especially from the older members of the team. During the match defence was better and complimented the attack, something that was missing against Spain.

The Olympics in the world of marketing began way earlier when different companies and sponsors of the event came up with their TVC to highlight how they are looking at the games and send the message across.  Here in this post I am sharing the ads I found the best running in the TVCs Olympics this year.

Elaj e Zid Dastyab Hay – Urdu Version of The Taming of The Shrew

While I was coming to UK for my studies, I made a list of the things that I will be doing in UK while studding here. In last 18 months, I have managed to achieve quite a lot of those tasks but due to “human negligence”, some of them are still to be done. Going to theatre and watching a Shakespeare’s play was in that list too. This past Friday I went to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre where an Olympic festival under the name of World Shakespeare Festival 2012 is going on. The project name is globe to globe where 37 of Shakespeare’s plays are being staged in 37 languages from across the globe.
