Many years ago, a lean young man came to Karachi from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) with hopes of better future in the music industry. He started his struggle with gigs at a cafe located on Tariq road, Karachi. Later on, this young man appeared on TV with his guitar, his only companion in this city, on Sohail Rana’s music show for children kids show. TEDxAnarkali – Revitalizing the cultural heritage

October 6th, 2011

I will not define TED all over again as many has already done that. I am more concerned to the E of TED, here it represents “entertainment” and it is one regular feature of TED or TEDx events. Entertainment is not just about fun only; it can be helpful in elaborating tough subjects with ease and less time. The best example can be Junoon and Shehzad Roy trying to redefined Poetry of Iqbal in late 90s.

TEDx is coming to Lahore again; where team of TEDxLahore is busy in designing the third edition of the event and the work is underway TEDxAnarkali is coming to add music to the TEDx legacy of the city. Music is the feature of this event to celebrate the E of TEDx.

TEDx reached Cardiff 2nd Time

April 11th, 2011

I have been connected to the TED fever to a new level for last one year almost. All thanks to TEDxLahore and since than i am, somehow, connected the TEDx events that are taking place in Pakistan, and listening to the TED talks. This past Saturday i got chance to be at another TED event, TEDxCardiff. It was for sure the biggest TEDx event in Wales, and for me it was first TED event that i attended outside Pakistan. Talks were interesting, motivating, informative, and yet entertaining. This is a regular feature of TED events but the best thing that i found in this event was the chance of meeting people from different countries, with many ideas to share. I met people from the places such as Turkey, Ireland, France, China, United States of America, Australia, Egypt (Osama a student of UWIC who was organizer of TEDxCairo).
