PFLC 2013 – There Is A Long Way To Unity In Diversity

Once again, this year I was in Oxford to take part in the Pakistan Future Leaders’ Conference (PFLC 2013) organized by Oxford University Pakistan Society. It was my third trip to my favorite city in England for the same purpose. Just like past, this year’s trip was full of heated debates, networking with some new and some old people, exchange of ideas, and inhaling the chilled air of oxford that had flying snowflakes in it. The Friday afternoon started with the guided tour of the Oxford city and the tour ended at the Oxford Town Hall where opening ceremony took place. Presence of Malala Yusufzai‘s father was another feature of the ceremony and it was somehow better than the eighteen and a half pages long speech by Mr. Gardezi Deputy High Commissioner.

PTI Glasgow Jalsa and Fundraising Dinner

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has continued the ritual of conducting grand ‘Jalsas’ in different parts of the country and abroad. As a part of the ongoing promotional campaigns of PTI, Imran Khan and his team organized a Jalsa in Glasgow Marriot Hotel. The Glasgow Jalsa followed by a dinner in the evening, was a fund raising event for PTI and Khan’s Namal University.

I have done Masters in Political Science, export business is my bread and butter. Now I want to be a politician and serve my people. For that, I want to join a certain mainstream political party, a party that is career oriented and open to workers. A party that, with the passage of time and service, gives equal opportunity to workers to reach top post, i.e. Party Chief. I want to be the top man of the biggest political party of Pakistan. During the days I was busy with my studies and exams I have been absent from this blog, I planned to redesign the way this blog has been going on since last two years. Just to make it bit more active I made some decisions and one of them is to start some series. Therefore, this post is the first edition of the series that I planned. This series is about the TED Talks from Pakistan. I will be sharing the best of TED talks from TEDx events that took place in Pakistan just to do my part in spreading and praising some of the ideas. Below is the talk by my childhood hero Imran Khan, who is telling the advantages of never giving up the dreams. The best part I found in it was the list of DOs and DONTs in the time of failure.
