 Is Dengue Fever Contagious?

The one word answer to this question is “No”. Dengue is not contagious disease. It is transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito. This kind of mosquito is called Aedes Aegypti. This mosquito is more active during the day. The virus gets into the mosquito when a mosquito takes a blood meal from dengue-infected person. In addition, this virus, later on, shifts to the salivary glands of the mosquito, and when this infected mosquito bites, the virus is transmitted to the person.

this information can be checked at here, here, here, and here.
