Nobel Prize NightHe stood first in every exam but failed in one, driving test”, the hall fell into laughter and he continued with saying, “when he came back home he said that now I know how people feel when they  fail, anyhow I am a theoretical physicist not a practical one”. These were the words of Mr. Abdul Rashid, who was sharing some personal memories about his brother and Pakistan’s only Nobel laureate – Dr. Abdus Salam. It was a fine windy Thursday evening and I was standing in a warm room of Imperial College London.

One of the Most Unique New iPad Hands on Experience

There are different kinds of fans but when we observe and analyse them we can find one thing common that most of these fans and more specifically “fan boys” (honestly I do not want to sound like a sexist here) they are hardly rational about their icons and seldom make sense that why they like them the most. Being an observer of what is going around, I observe many fan boys and at the end of the day I feel pity for some. If I apply all of my wisdom, only if I have any, I can not understand why there are fan boys of Misbah ul Haq, Zardari, Musharaf, and list goes on.

You don’t need to be a doctor to save a life

You don’t need to be a doctor to save a life“. This morning out of nowhere I read this line and that instantly reminded me the part of the verse number 32 of chapter 5 (Surat Al-Mai’dah) that says, “And if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole humanity”. It makes serving others and saving in order to save lives of the others a divine duty of us all. During the days of busyness with my dissertation and all I collected a great pile of unread emails, last night I came across to an email that was introduction of save life project. Since morning, I am trying to gain more information on this project.

Qazi brothers, Qazi Sajjad built a James Bond type plane with a Suzuki engine and his brother Qazi Tufail flew the plane so high, he broke the Asian record for flying at 16000ft!
