It will be unjust to say that Ramadan is right in corner because the way time flies now Ramadan will be here in no time. No matter to what extent religious you are, but you somehow do face certain effects of the month. Effects of the month also take over our media outlets and our TV screens, the programs we see are specially coated with its colours. Talking about Ramadan, special TV shows has always been flavour of this month. In past these shows were more inclined towards the cooking shows sharing recipes for the ‘iftar’ meals, live telecast of ‘Tarawih’, and TV shows related to social and charity work, quiz shows about Islamic history, and talks from the scholars to elaborate the benefits of this months and other religious issues. However, that was all during “PTV” era with the bombardment of private TV channels a race of rating begun and it taken over Ramadan transmission too.

To, A Few Elders

May 23rd, 2012

Life is indeed unpredictable and plans can never remain constant, I come across to this reality every now and then. The latest encounter I had with this factor is right now when I am writing this as this has never been in my plans or in my thoughts that I will ever write about this, but sometimes the incidences you come across force you to react to the things that you never bothered to think about. Yesterday when I was roaming in the city and trying to enjoy my evening a few Punjabi words hit my listening sense the simplest translation of those words are, “do you have any manners, how to talk to the elders?”.

Olpers and Ramadan

August 28th, 2010

Olpers is a brand that has made its place since 2005. I still remember that sound of milk being poured in a pot to make “doodh pati“. I am not a tea person at all but still that ad had created a buzz on me that I can recall. The reason for writing this post and sharing almost 5 year old memories is the ad that I just saw, once again, on the facebook page of Olpers. Why fb page? Why not on tv that might be the question of the moment. So the simple answer is that I do not trust the length of the ad that been played on the TV. Olpers is one of the few brands that successfully relates itself to Ramadan in its ad rather than another brand of same product, which is trying to claim the title of thickest of them all for last 15 years almost. Every Ramadan I wait for the advertisement of Olpers. The reason for this anticipation is the flavor of family values and Ramadan that enriched the charm of the advertisement.

YOM E KHATAM E NABUAT

September 7th, 2009

The word MUSALMAN is a combination of two things MUSALM (solid) & IMAN (faith); which means being a Muslim is about having firm and solid faith upon certain facts. One of those facts that must be strictly followed by a Muslim is to accept Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W. as the final and last Prophet of Allah.

The other name of this faith is called ISHQ E RASOOL (extreme love with Prophet). The two things which have always been targeted by the western and infidel forces are ISHQ E RASOOL and JAZBA E JIHAD. These forces have always been busy in attacking and ruining the true color of these two immensely beautiful beliefs. The new color of JIHAD is an example that how it has been ruined by the “well wishers” of ours.

In INDO PAK subcontinent the British rule was frightened of the factor of jihad and wanted to rout it out of his way. The only thing could be done was to target the faith Muslims have towards Jihad and it can only be done if some “great one”. British invented a new prophet in the land of QADYAN (Gurdas pur), Punjab. Well it’s a long story that how a cunning person emerged as one of the greatest lire ever. And how he always stayed at an arm length from the true followers of Islam. It is on record that he ran away when he challenged PIR MEHR ALI SHAH of GOLRHA SHREEF for a debate.

The religion created by him is called Qadyaniat but they refuse to accept it as the say that they are the true Muslims. The issues of qadyaniat have always been a burning one in this region. Tehreek e Khatam e Nabuat was the answer to the activates performed by these Qadyanis. All the Muslim Scholars regard less being a Shia or Sunni were united against them but this moment was sabotaged by some unknown power. But after 21 years this movement emerged again and this time it was for a decision; the reason was the brutal attack to the CHANAB EXPRESS by these followers. I forgot to mention about “Rabuh” A.K.A. Chenab Nagar or something, a place at Lahore-Sargodha at some distance from CHINYOT, was the “VATICAN CITY” of these lame followers no one even Present of Pakistan was not allowed to enter that place. They had made a state inside a state as they were having their own army name FURQAN FORCE, there own police stations and all that. The attack on the passengers of CHANAB EXPRESS became a burning issue. And this time it was nation wide movement against these Fake Muslims (I m so sorry to write the word Muslim for them).

Result of this moment was that parliament passed an act and declared them as non Muslims and minorities. And that was 7th September 1974 when the clause of 160(2) and 260(3) was introduced and added in the constitution of Pakistan in order to declare them as Minorities and forbade them to use the Islamic Terms for their own beliefs and for the promotion of their religion. Well once Allama Iqbal said about them, “the biggest problem with Qadyaniat will be that when a non Muslim accepts it as ISLAM that poor fellow will come out from infidelity and fall in another one”.

Qadyanis appealed in Supreme Court as well and demanded they should be allowed to use the Islamic terms. The full bench of SC had a complete hearing. The controversial parts from their books were presented to the court. And SC’s full bench declared the order in which it kept the application of clause of 260(3) which impose the imprisonment of 3 years and a penalty of fine.

It was 7th September 1974, 35 years back when a rubber stopper was applied to the spread pipe of this FITNA, and since then this day is celebrated as “YOM E KHATAM E

Can we use Miswak while fasting?

Is it allowed to use miswak while fasting?
Ramadan

Islam stresses on cleanliness and using the miswak is important to keep the teeth clean and prevent plaque which is more likely to appear while a person fasts all day. Prophet Muhammad(saw) has been reported of using the miswak to clean his teeth while fasting:

Narated By Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk, has been given to him by Allah.” Narrated ‘Amir bin Rabi’a, “I saw the Prophet cleaning his teeth with Siwak while he was fasting so many times as I can’t count.”

And narrated Abu Huraira, “The Prophet said, ‘But for my fear that it would be hard for my followers, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak on every performance of ablution.” The same is narrated by Jabir and Zaid bin Khalid from the Prophet who did not differentiate between a fasting and a nonfasting person in this respect (using Siwak).

‘Aisha said, “The Prophet said, “It (i.e. Siwak) is a purification for the mouth and it is a way of seeking Allah’s pleasures.” Ata’ and Qatada said, “There is no harm in swallowing the resultant saliva.” – [Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 31, #154]
