It was Independence Day but something happened in the online space of Pakistan that diverted the online conversation topic from Pakistan to Dr. Aamir Liaqat Husain. I am referring to the video that has been bigger hit than the film Bol itself in Pakistan. Geo reported copyrights over it and was taken down from Youtube but this gave even more boast to it and as a result, the so-called real face of the Online Aalim revealed. There is a debate over the thing, some are serious and critical about it, some are making fun of the poor target, and some were asking ARY to fire him along with spreading the contact number of ARY heads so that message can be sent to them. All those who have not seen this diamond jubilee hit I am sharing it below (sorry for the foul language, but someone else should be far more sorry and ashamed over it):
There is a debate that why are we showing such response over a set of back stage conversations, almost all the media anchors might be using such language of the camera. However, I believe it is true that we all use such language, we all use abusive words but this is not a justification that makes such acts lawful. Everyone must respect his position and status that he has been given and one must practice what one preaches. Mr. Aamir has failed to follow that simple rule and eventually my faith on the verse of Quran has become even stronger now that says:
Say, “O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. (Quran. 3:26)
Dr. Amir has been a controversial personality, his PHD degree, his views about different issues have dragged him into the lime light of the controversy. However, this morning in his show he used his voice and media to declare that video as fake and tempered.
I am not an expert on the video editing art, but actions speak louder than words, what he was doing in the video clips is enough to understand what is going on and those words are some extra spice of this “movie”.
I was waiting for the pro Amir Liaqat club to come in action and so far, I have seen some of the arguments that support Dr. Aamir and his theory of “tempered & fake” video. A point is being raised that this is a conspiracy against him by his former belongings, Geo and MQM. It has been said that as for last few months, Dr. Amir is criticising Geo and MQM a lot and that lead to all the happenings to this point. There is another opinion that this is being done against him as a reply to the last few lines of his latest column published on Friday 12th August, where he tried to make fun of Altaf Hussain by using one-month grocery statement for the UK residents.
What is going to happen next is a question that time will decide, but I have a question and I need a serious answer… Ghalib Film Dekhi Hai Aap Ne?
